On Sunday, August 19, 2007 at 2:00 pm, bring your friends and family to join in this history-making event! Please bring non-perishable food items too, and extend a helping hand to your neighbors in need.

In 1807 Judge August A. Woodward’s plan for identifying Woodward’s path north through the City was adopted.
Much like the region rallied around Detroit 300 and Super Bowl XL, Woodward’s 200’s Birthday presents an opportunity to work together to capture this once-in-a-lifetime experience – highlighting history – promoting pride – and rallying the region!
Woodward Avenue Action Association (WA3), Detroit Synergy and many other key organizations are planning events for this unique celebration, with the signature event - Hands Along Woodward & Gleaners Food Drive on Sunday, August 19th. Please ‘save the date’ and plan on joining the celebration!
