University of Detroit-Mercy Midnight Bike Ride, Friday Night, September 21st-22nd
- This Annual Event brings both local cycling Detroiters and University of Detroit Mercy students to explore the 24 hour city of Detroit on bicycles. Participation begins for the 19th Annual Midnight Bike Ride on Friday, September 21st at 10pm, starting from Parking Lot "A," near "the Fountain" and the School of Architecture on the McNichols Campus. Before the night is over, the 30-mile round trip excursion will include such sites as the Palmer Park/Palmer Woods areas, the Detroit City Airport, Downtown Detroit, the Cultural Center, Eastern Market, the Boston - Edison District, and other Detroit destinations. Escorting the students will be the UDM Public Safety Department and the Detroit Police.

The bike tour includes rest stops to point out places of interest and a hot dog break between 12:30-1:00 a.m. at Detroit's famous Lafayette and American Coney Island's. The cyclists should return to campus around 5 a.m. Saturday. RAIN DATE TBA. This a community partnership event, separate from Detroit Synergy.
