DSG Shares at Earth-Works this Saturday!!
Join DSG Shares this Saturday, June 14 from 9 a.m. - noon at:
Capuchin Earth Works Garden. Volunteers will be engaging in planting projects. Planting tools will be provided, but please wear comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dirty.
What is Earth Works Garden?
Complete with a greenhouse, EarthWork's primary goal is the education of Detroit area school children in areas of science, nutrition and biodiversity of organic agriculture. The project also yields fresh produce to benefit such programs as WIC and the Soup Kitchen's daily meals.
Getting to Earth Works Garden
Volunteers will meet in the parking lot of the soup kitchen (located adjacent to the Earth Works Garden) at 1264 Meldrum Ave., near Belle Isle, just off of Mt. Elliot and Lafayette Ave.
