Who/When: Join DSG Shares at the Salvation Army on Saturday, July 26 from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
What: The Salvation Army provides a number of services to the community including disaster relief services, day care centers, summer camps, holiday assistance, services for the aging, AIDS education and residential services, medical facilities, shelters for battered women and children, family and career counseling, vocational training, correction services, and substance abuse rehabilitation. More than 30 million a year are aided in some form by services provided by The Salvation Army.
Where: Volunteers will meet downtown at at the Southeast Michigan Rehabilitation Center at 1627 W. Fort St. (directly across from the main post office Downtown) and will participate in activities including kitchen clean-up, field clean-up and meal preparation.
