SHOPPING
Check in at Compuware World Headquarters. Shoppers will get a directory of participating merchants, neighborhood maps, and information on special discounts and promotions offered to Shop Detroit shoppers.
- The first 100 pre-registered shoppers will receive a free, reusable shopping tote. Bags will also be sold for $1.
- A limited number of free People Mover tokens will be available to the first shoppers.
- Free shuttle service from Downtown to Midtown, the New Center, and Eastern Market will be available courtesy of Inside Detroit.
- Shoppers can also discover merchants in other neighborhoods with the Next Detroit Neighborhood Initiative’s “Explore On Your Own” section of the shopping directory!
SPECIAL EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE CITY
- 11–12:30 | Compuware: This year, Shop Detroit will highlight and celebrate Detroit’s rich tradition of Olympic athleticism. Special athlete appearances, a special edition book, and a unique jeweled bracelet combine to make this an extra-special event!
- 1–1:45 | Eastern Market: Holiday floral centerpiece and gift basket demonstration
- 2–3 | Ren Cen: Fashion show featuring select retailers and local designers
- 10–4 | Fisher Building: Mini craft show featuring local artists and DIYers
- 12–4 | Fisher Building: Free gift wrapping, special performance by Detroit Children’s Choir (time TBA)
SHUTTLE SERVICE
Arranged by Inside Detroit and courtesy of Anchor Bar, Bookies Bar & Grill, Hard Rock Café, and The Majestic. Free shuttle service from Downtown to Midtown, the New Center, and Eastern Market will be available.
- Departing from outside Hard Rock Café approximately every 20 minutes.
Last shuttle departs Hard Rock at 3pm.
